Highland Grove, a place of limitless possibilities, where the journey is as exhilarating as the destination.
Artists who visit Highland Grove enjoy a large private room in the 1894 Victorian in the village of Bridgton, in proximity to Highland Lake beach, and walking distance to the village of Bridgton and all its amenities. Artists can work from their room, in the parlor/library, or by the lake. We gather for talks, workshops, salons, and even stargazing by the night fire in the backyard or lakeside.
A Place Tailored for You
At Highland Grove Arts, we know there is no end to your potential. Life is an interesting journey once we finally discover our intention and point our compass toward True North. The residency is tailored to meet the needs of the visiting artists — morning pages and/or generative writing prompts, workshops, focused writing sessions, and/or evening readings are available on a requested basis. Time at Highland Grove is for the artist to use as they wish, including writing, painting/drawing, walking on the trails, swimming at Highland Lake, visiting the Rufus Porter Museum or the many galleries in town.

Highland Grove Arts is tailored to your needs. Whether you wish to have a weekend of workshops, one-on-one coaching time, or simply have a beautiful and quiet place to stay to work undisturbed on your project, just email us. We will help you design your stay!
